Today, I came to the unpleasant realization that my friends only keep me around because I’m nice, know when to keep my mouth shut, and am willing to listen to them vent. In short, I’m the therapist friend. FML

if they listen to you on occasion when you need it, then fine. if not.. find some new friends that don't just use you

I am also the therapist friend, I however love it, I’m useful! Not only do I know when to keep my mouth shut, they also know that if any of them is being a dumbass, I’ll call them a dumbass, I’m not afraid to call them on their bullshit

That was my story until I set boundaries and found new friends. Don't let them drain you and your energy. It's ok to let them go.
