Being a psych nurse is a really tough job! Being a nurse in general is a touch job! Good luck handling the man... Maybe you can get other nurses to work with him.

You are going to realize this sort of thing comes with this field. Your going to get more of these experiences, and stranger ones as well. Deal with it as best you can and don't take it to heart, trust me if you can't handle it, this setting is not for you. I'm a psychologist and trust me you have not seen anything yet.

I work at a prison and there is a convicted rapist who, as I found out, has a fixation on me. Because I work in the area of cells that he lives in, I get to deal with creepy mantras and staring from him every day. You just get used to it and keep safe when you are around him.

That's pretty standard to psychiatric hospitals. I worked in one for a time too & I had one guy following me around all day every day, trying to smell my hair.
