Today, there was a baby shower for our first child. My hostess invited 75 people. Only 3 people showed up. FML

Yeah no offense intended, but no-one really cares that you decided to pop out another mouth to feed in this world. Don't expect others to support your personal choices.

If you can afford to hire a hostess for your baby shower, you can afford to buy your kid's things yourself. And if you can't afford a stroller, you should think twice about having a kid.

I assume that the hostess was a friend or a family member. That's how baby showers work. You don't do it yourself.
