Today, the business that was my last chance in this county to get away from my abusive boss declined to hire me and told my boss that I had applied there. He won't fire me. He'll just make work a living hell until I quit and have to move, leaving all my friends and family behind. FML

There are these things called "travel time" and "travel costs" that make it disadvantageous to not work and live in the same county. There's not much of a point in working if all the money you earn goes into paying to get to work.

There are no similar rentals or properties for sale in the region. We have to start over somewhere else. FML
