Today, I had to cancel my wedding. On top of being upset about the break up, I was informed I owed a $900 cancellation fee for not using the venue. Single and broke. FML

Today, our wedding venue canceled on us, leaving us 8 months to find another in peak foliage season. My parents contacted the local news over the ordeal, but they're using my name and picture to make me look like a whiny brat who didn’t get her way. FML

Today, I had to cancel my $15,000 wedding and send a mass e-mail to 90 guests that there won’t be a wedding. My now-ex fiance got fired from his job. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, if it wasn’t for the fact he got his colleague pregnant. FML

Today, I had to cancel a plane ticket to a friend's wedding, because first he gave me the wrong date, after which his fiancée cut me from the guests because of Covid safety. Instead of paying $600 to be in the ceremony, I'm paying $400 to not go anywhere because the ticket could only be partially refunded. FML

Today, I was invited to a birthday dinner at a restaurant. As I was leaving, I get a text from the birthday girl's boyfriend saying that it was cancelled. Hungry, I decided to go to that particular restaurant anyway. Turns out the party wasn't cancelled. Half the party just didn't want me there. FML

I'm assuming #9 is being sarcastic because it's odd that OP's wedding was rejected instead of spaghetti bingo night. Since weddings are (supposed to be) once in a lifetime. Compared to...spaghetti... Lol

I see their logic, bingo is probably every week and you're a one time customer, but the double booking is their fault and should have given you the space or an alternative. FYL

they probably didn't think it was more important, they probably booked it first. I worked at an event venue and that's usually how they decide who gets the spot. what they should've done was politely asked the other client to push their event to do yours. but some people won't do that. sorry op.
