Well OP, friends aren't going to fall in your lap. As difficult as it may be you have to find ways of making friends. Join groups/clubs of similar interests to yours, find a bar nearby if that's your thing, and go in there a couple of times, you'll soon find people will talk to you once your face becomes familiar. Or try internet dating, or something similar that's for friends only if that appeals to you. Good luck OP!
