Today, my new wife and I are on our honeymoon cruise. To remember it we bought a "real" camera. She was taking pictures of everything the first day and filled up the memory card. So she went to transfer them onto her computer. She accidentally erased ALL of them and won't stop crying. FML

they probably mean using a DSLR camera instead of a phone or a point and shoot.

You can still recover them. Use a memory card recovery program like the one from SanDisk. Or just take it to a place and pay someone to recover them for you. Just don't use the memory card for taking any new pics until you've recovered the others.

Today, my car got stuck in a foot of snow. I tried desperately digging around my wheels to see if it would help. I was finally able to get out 10 minutes later only to realize that I had dropped my phone in the snow while I was digging and had run over it. FML
