Agreed #1! Good for her, not only is it not her problem, she would be responsible for paying back that $5000 not him. Like the saying goes "Not my circus, not my monkeys." Also, why can't she get the loan if it's so important to her?
Not No - but HELL NO.... I'd simply tell your mother, if she wants him out... To do it her self.. I don't always agree with the amount one has to pay but they should contribute something... Sounds like he's looking for a free ride.
If I were you I'd tell her to F-off especially since you are under no one obligated to do that type of thing. From the sounds of it thy would probably expect you to pay the loan back, and you have other things to pay for like your own child. Also I'm sorry you got stuck with one of the less then perfect exes/families'. I wish you and your child all the best.
