Is he 11? Aww, that's so cute!
To everyone saying he should know how to put a condom on 'cause they teach it in school and blah blah blah - pretty sure they never taught anything about how to put on a condom in any of my sex ed throughout school. Most schools in the US teach abstinence-only (Iunno about Canada), so they only talk about birth control and condoms to say that they don't work. I mean, it doesn't seem like it's THAT difficult to figure out, but if it's done improperly it doesn't work, so maybe the mom was just making sure he knew the proper way to do it for maximum protection.
Wow, I am suddenly very grateful for my middle and high school...I've had two, possibly three instructors tell me about birth control and how well it works. Sure, they drop the line, "The only way to be 100% sure is abstinence," but that's (almost)[1] true [1] - There's always rape :-) The oops-my-condom-slipped of abstinence!
At least you'll be safe(er) But don't they teach this stuff in sex ed in the US? Also I just went and looked at my condoms and it has instructions in the packet.
Some schools (actually a lot) have no sex-ed
Really? And people wonder why stuff like this happens...
Yea, it's ****** up really. And when they do teach sex ed they make it abstinence only and make condoms out to be ineffective.
You don't go to a Catholic school, do you? Every sex ed I've received has included a bit about condoms and how they're very, very close to 100% effective, as well as the pill and how it's also awfully close.
my school didn't have sex Ed because I went to a Catholic/Christian high school
OH I FIGURED IT OUT. it's not that he didn't know how it's that she taught him and he already did. that's the fml. it's like sex Ed for someone who already knows.
What's your mums number?
