You suck. I'm sure that when you get something new, you play with it too. you could've gone out to a friend or somewhere else to practice.
While it's true that OP's mom didn't have to turn it off, I can understand OP wanting her to. They might not be able to go somewhere else to practice. Plus, two hours is a really long time. She didn't have to play with it all day. That's kinda inconsiderate.
Op here, I do enjoy the jukebox and I'm happy for my mom. I don't have much where else to go when it comes to practice and I'm only of the only people in my circle of friends who plays. My mom was saying for a few hours "just one more song." And would play more and more. We're all major music junkies in my family (one of the reasons I took guitar) and the song I was trying to learn happened to be difficult at some degree (You Can't Kill Rock and Roll by Ozzy Osbourne!!) and I literally had to plug in my amplifier so I could hear myself (I play electric guitar). After she started playing the miniature, I gave it up for the night. Hopefully I will have a little more quiet when I try again and I will master this song! I'm determined!!
Wow. I'm not gonna lie, I use music as a form of stimming and to help with my anxiety, but I keep earbuds in because I know how annoying it can be for someone to play music you aren't a fan of, or when you are trying to do something that requires audio cues. Maybe, if this becomes a recurring issue, you could ask your family about letting you set up a schedule for a period of practice every other day for one to two hours, and they keep loud music to the minimal during then. That way you can get practice time, but everyone else can still get their music fix.
