You sound like a nice person, but YDI. You need to let your mom fight her own battles instead of letting her throw herself a pity party without facing any consequences.

I'm not sure if your mom is being severely over dramatic, or if your siblings have been genuinely terrible and deserve getting banned for the holidays. But they are both putting you in the middle, effectively punishing you for decisions you had nothing to do with. In other words, I'm sorry that your entire family are assholes.

Hi I'm the OP. I'm such a nice person, I hate conflict and confrontation, so when my mom told me that I had to tell my siblings and dad that Christmas was cancelled and why (they're never around, they take advantage of my mom money wise, and so forth) it was hard. There were a lot of tears and anger. My moms health is very bad, so she had me be the messenger and it was a pretty awful feeling. My family has been torn apart now and I am caught in the middle. And I just found out that I have quit college in order to support my mom now. So it's not a very good time right now.
