Today, my manager told me I might be getting moved from deli to bakery where I was hoping to be placed originally. Three hours later my other manager fired me. FML

The short version is I was hired even though I'd had no experience in food service at the very worst time. They'd just lost 75% of their staff to graduation and/or finding better paying jobs so we were (as one manager described) "a skeleton crew with no legs". I couldn't perform to standards with the amount of training I'd received and the amount of people we had on crew. I understand completely why I was let go but it doesn't suck any less.

So, now they get to train someone else from scratch? Sounds like a competent manager to me.
