Today, my husband warned me he’d soak me and the kids with a hose if we started singing carols while he had a headache. I didn’t think he meant it. I’m soaked from the top of my head right down to the roots of my boots FML

Great thing to teach your kids, there. If someone asks you to not do something, because it causes them pain, do it anyway! Just as great of a lesson to teach them that if you can't see what's causing someone pain, they're just overreacting or lying! Great two for one there. Seriously, you are a dick for intentionally singing while knowing he had a headache, and completely deserved the soaking. In fact, given the *wonderful* lessons you taught your kids, you got off light. Have fun dealing with your kids doing stuff you asked them not to do, because you taught them it's completely okay to do so as long as it brings them enjoyment. Real parent of the year.
