Today, my husband gave me an ultimatum - choose him or my male best friend. I chose my husband. My husband then admitted to me that he was hoping I would choose my best friend so he would have an excuse to leave me and wouldn't have to tell me he's been cheating on me. FML

Wow, your (ex) husband really is a spineless pussy. What kind of "man" tries to concoct some sort of ultimatum to give to his wife in hopes that she will choose to leave him for a friend because he doesn't want to tell her about the affair he's been having? FYL indeed, but at least now you know what kind of "man" he really was and at least you don't have to spend the rest of your life with him.

It wasn't "his" best friend, it was her best friend, she could have grown up with him or known him her entire life. Just because a girl has a male best friend does not mean she's sleeping with him. And she clearly stated in the second part of the post why he gave her the ultimatum. Duh.
