Today, my girlfriend told me she just wanted to be friends again and hold off on a relationship. I was already depressed, so I went to my mother for help and someone to talk to. She said she told my father the same thing. My parents have been divorced for 11 years. Thanks mom. FML

Thank you, and I've talked to her and she honestly doesn't know what she wants. At the moment I'm just hoping that after this school year ends and we're done with AP exams she'll be willing to continue.

I'm sorry OP. maybe confirm with her, does she want to completely break up or just take a break, and what are you willing to accept if she wants a break? definitely talk to her and don't give up talking to people. It sounds like your Mum was trying to help even if she didn't, but she might be helpful next time you talk to her about it. take care OP
