if your aunt cries just because she didn't get a present she obviously doesn't know the true meaning of Christmas
Say you bought another one since you felt bad for taking away something she loved..?
Lol re- gift pile
That's why everything in my re-gift pile has the name of the person who gave it to me, so I don't accidentally do that!
Wow, I never knew re-gifting was such a thing that people actually have re-gift piles/methods of knowing who gave them stuff so they don't re-gift it to them... I would honestly be ashamed to re-gift something... even if if was something completely useless or strange from your dotty old aunt with alzheimers.
One birthday my mom opened a present her sister got her and said "Funny, I gave a fountain just like this to mom for her birthday." and my aunt laughed and said "Mom gave me this fountain for my birthday..." My family's so bad about regifting that it's not uncommon for things like this to happen, and yes, my mother did gift the fountain back to my grandma.
Put the name of who it is from on my re-gift pile. That way you know who not to give them too

You should have played it off like you liked her gift so much last year, you decided to get her one too for this year
Should have gotten her some Sensodyne toothpaste. Heard it really helps with sensitivity.
