I would have called the police while you were at your friend's house. But it is not too late to take some kind of action. Be safe.

It's bad enough that he's stalking you but now his new gf is encouraging this behavior. If my new bf tried to stalk his ex with me in the car I'd leave and walk home. Seriously get a restraining order on him but also on his new gf, because if she's willing to come along while he stalks you than she'll probably stalk you when he can't.

Why did you go home? In this situation the smartest thing to do would be to drive to a police station. Chances are, he won't follow you & he'll be too scared to try again for the night. You would have been able to safely drive home, or have an officer escort you.

Yikes. I guess no one ever taught OP what to do about someone that is following you? That said, time to get the police and legal system involves, as well as updating home security. Get the restraining order and a self defense weapon of some kind, if the stalking keeps up take further legal action, consider moving. Also, setting up a "dead man switch" might be a good idea if you think he may be deranged enough to kidnap you. Basically you text someone (not the same message) everyday and if they don't receive one by a designated time, they follow a previously agreed upon plan of action.
