I'm 19 and would kill for kids stuff to come in adult sizes. Sequin jumpers and rainbow underwear? So much better than overpriced underwear that comes in white, tan and beige with the odd black.

Not that she overheard or learned it somewhere, but that somebody actually told her that she should "get sexy clothes at Victoria's Secret"? Nine year olds are able to be manipulated; heck? Even teens who think they know what's up with the world can be manipulated by older people. A nine year old girl has likely been taught to respect adults and while that's good in most contexts, could cause a problem if somebody was taking advantage of her... A little girl won't necessarily know if she's being abused, it's easy enough for a pervert to convince a child that he's doing nothing wrong and even get her to play along. I really don't mean to scare you, I'm just concerned for your daughter's well-being.

She probably wants sexy underwear merely because she is told by the media that she needs them. I doubt she knows precisely what sexy entails, or is.. and just wants to be accepted by her peers.

It's not that the display of sex and all of what that entails is something that should not be done, it's that its being done so wrongly! This is not just a new problem in society or at least the specific American culture. The media is influential and they better quit saying sex is what's cool. What's RIGHT is that bodies should not always be so extremely sexualized! AND CHILDREN should understand sex... but not that it's what everyone is doing... just enough to satisfy the curiosity and naive ignorance of it's none-consequential...ugh! Everyone should understand ADULT ACTIVITIES for one and for two the MORALS OF VALUE!!!! That's just two of many factors that need to be addressed by society. The influence is sick.
