Today my coworkers got a pay rise for the 6th time in the 8 years I've been working there, I did not. I'm the assistant manager and I've only received one pay rise in all my years of hard work. Even my subordinates are upset I don't get paid more. How much are they now getting? Twice my pay. FML

Here, just knowing what your coworkers make is grounds to get fired, so maybe make sure you're not breaking any rules before inquiring about a raise.

In my job the assistant manager knows what everybody earns as it's part of her job to know so OP may not be breaking any rules knowing what their subordinates earn.

Today, I felt like too much of a loser to go to a Christmas party, since I'd be the only one going without a date. I had to invent imaginary friends who were "coming into town for the holidays" to feel like less of a loser. FML
