I know the difference but thanks for pointing them out nonetheless. The boss implicitly commented on her physical attributes when s/he suggested the use of makeup. Some could interpret that as saying: makeup will make you more presentable at the work place and thus more sexually attractive. It's a questionable statement because what does makeup have to do with her ability to do her job?
Hey those people are assholes, if you can I would try to find better people to surround yourself with.
