Today, my boyfriend and I got into an argument over, whether you say "they 'hung' up on me" or "they 'hanged' up on me" This argument has lasted the entire 9 mouths of our relationship and he still won't believe me that its 'hung' not 'hanged'.

"Hanged" only has one use in the English language, and it is when one is referring to a person who was "hanged by the neck" aka lynched. Everything else is "hung."
