A hotel room where? On a trip she wanted to go on? Perhaps you should have provided more warning so she could save the date.

I agree with number one, we need the full story here! How much time did you give her, and did she book this hotel before or after you told her?

my best friend of 6 years (at the time now it's been 12 years) was suppose to be my maid of honor and she was dating a guy that didn't want to go to the wedding and wanted to stay home cuz he was a pos...so she quit talking to me and started ignoring me till after my wedding day and then apologized... I'm not mad cuz when she complains about certain things (like over something stupid) I use it against her and she always says how bad she feels but honestly I don't think she knows how bad it actually hurt me...she practically lived with me while growing up...we are like sisters.

There definitely sounds like more to this story. Did you not ask her to be your maid of honour or bridesmaid? If so, maybe she's really upset that you didn't ask her seeing as you guys are "best friends" and that's why she doesn't want to go? Was this hotel on a trip far away that she planned long before the wedding? And why did she not know about the wedding date a long time ago and already have it booked? Of course there's the possibility she's being stupid and awful and she's in the wrong, but it also sounds like there's a huge possibility that there's more info we're not getting that explains her actions a bit.

It better be a hotel room for something damn important since it could not be moved or cancelled..
