Today, my 19-year-old son told me his girlfriend is pregnant, and was diagnosed with an STD. He's sure that he's the father. He's also sure he doesn't have an STD, because he's a virgin. I had to give him the sex talk that his school never did, as well as explain to him that his girlfriend is a cheater. FML

YDI for not knowing your sons school curriculum. His school most likely taught abstinence only since its the only sex Ed the gov pays for. You should try being more involved in your sons life!

Schools never actually say "the penis goes in the ******." They only talk about what happens once it's done, and how the sperm and egg meet. As a parent, it's your responsibility to find out what your child is not being taught in schools and to tell him everything they don't that you think he needs to know. You deserved it.

Should have had the talk with him while he was in his teens and give him a couple pornos, and playboy magazine. That's just my opinion. Call it as you wish but it's better him doing that then ending up with and STD.

Has anyone else noticed that the OP's son knows he's a virgin but apparently never had the sex talk? If he knows so little that he thought he got her pregnant, maybe he doesn't know he had sex?

Wow how can some one be 19 and not know how a baby is made ? Did you shelter your kid with no tv or interment OP? Or were you to nervous to tell him how it's done
