You said the drivers are going on strike next week. Maybe I'm misinterpreting but why can't you visit the doctor today?
My doctor only works at the office near me on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so by the time he was there the drivers would be on strike. Sorry I didn't elaborate.

The doctor can't really do much, anyway. If it's really the flu, antibiotics won't do any good, and antivirals really need to be restricted to severe cases because otherwise there's an increased risk of the virus becoming immune to them. Stay hydrated, take fever suppressants according to directions, eat small mild meals frequently, take stomach medicine if needed, and rest as much as possible.
If caught soon enough, there's Tamiflu.
