Today, ive been living with my boyfriend a whole year. Things have been going great... Except for the fact that I haven't gotten laid in 5 months. I've tried everything to get him to sleep with me but he's always 'too tired' and would rather act like 'an old married couple' as he likes to put it.FML

It might be caused by low testosterone. He might need to go to the doctor and get checked if that's the case.

A guy that doesn't constantly hound you for sex?! Does he have a brother?

He could just... Not be an inherently sexual person? I mean, there's low testosterone, but he could just as easily be asexual, or naturally low libido'd. Ask him about it.

Amen to this. He could be ashamed to feel this way, OP, and not want to admit it.

Trust me, it is wonderful that you are finding out now. If this is a deal-breaker, encourage the fellow to have a medical review to see if there are any organic issues: you could be saving his life, never mind your relationship. If all is well, it'll be up to you to decide if you leave things as they are, or move on and find the life that you want, possibly with a more suitable partner.

That sucks OP. Hope you guys can figure your shit out

How in the **** can you be too tired for sex? I have Depression, Circadian rhythm issues, and non-rem narcolepsy, and would not use being too tired as an excuse. Lol

Because every persons libido is different, and that includes the way that disorders interact with said libido. Just because you wouldn't turn down sex from being tired, doesn't mean there is inherently something wrong with him doing so.
