I don't know how old your kids are, we know one is 3. However, even at young ages, it's important to start teaching them boundaries and independence. Even at 3, they should start understanding that bedtime means bedtime. They are to stay in their own room and their own bed, (or couch in this case), unless there's an emergency or bad dream of course. If you don't teach them this, and don't nip the "I want to sleep in mom and dad's bed" in the bud now, they won't learn it and will continue to take advantage of sleeping with you, and you guys will never get privacy. When they want to get in bed with you, you're going to have to start saying "no," and taking them to their own room, no matter how upset this makes them. For now, I'd get a babysitter, or relatives to take the kids overnight, and plan a date night.
