Today, I went up to a lady at a supermarket because she was doing a demonstration of a food slicer, and when she saw me she told me I needed a parent or adult because of the sharp blades. I walked away, embarrassed. I'm 20. FML

I know you were embarrassed and sometimes that gets the best of you. But I'm willing to bet, if you would have pointed out your age, she would have been the one that got embarrassed.

#1: I'm the OP, they wouldn't let me get to my post through my email so I made an account to reply anyway, and the reason I didn't tell her that was because I was too embarrassed and I was actually in shock for a second. My dad walked by right as I was about to talk and instead of speaking I went over to him and walked away. He was laughing hysterically when I told him.

I have bad social anxiety, which has been getting better, but in situations like this it gets pretty bad and I wasn't able to find my voice. I just got away as fast as I could.
