Content almost refused by staff

Today, I went to the hospital to visit my mum who was undergoing massive surgery. The surgeon who did the worked on her approached myself, and my older sister and said; "I'm so sorry for your loss..." Holding back tears as he laughed and said, "just kidding." Totally inappropriate. FML.

Report him, that is totally inappropriate. He needs to understand he can't do that. That is wrong on so many levels.

I'm giving the surgeon the benefit of the doubt here. It's possible the mother told him to do so. Either way still pretty ****** up

I'd report him to the hospital board OP. That's highly inappropriate and VERY unprofessional.

That was a bit unprofessional since this was such a big surgery. However, when I was getting my tonsils removed, I would have loved a doctor with that type of humor!
