When working with kids you wear basic dark swimwear. Gym teachers around the world will know. You can be proud all you want, but keep the baywatch-style for your own free time.

OP. Ok well sorry I'm not a gym teacher. Sue me for not keeping up with status quo rhetoric. The style wasn't the issue. It was see through and I didn't know it. Non-sheer white swimwear exists. This wasn't one of them.

OP, the FML community is a tough crowd and they'll vilify or console randomly. People like looking nice, so they put on nice clothes. It happened to be a mistake because the garment wasnt suited for the task, but it is ridiculous to vilify you for making an effort to look nice. And honestly, what clothing manufacturer makes a bathing suit that can't bathe..

Thank you. It was honestly a humiliating situation and I was hoping this could at least be an opportunity to laugh at myself and cheer anyone up having a bad day. Didn't expect all the hostility. I know how horrible it was. No one needs to remind me. Isn't that why this is called "FML"?

You should at least know that a lot of white bathing suits are see through. I don't even buy white bathing suits because I don't want anything to show. Just a little tip for the future OP.

Wear shorts and a tshirt ,tank top, or a COLORED bathing suit top that's not so revealing; you won't get so many negative responses.
