Today, I was supposed to make dinner for my whole family, but due to my auto immune disease I fell in the shower. I had to be rescued by my mom. So much for showing independence...FML

As someone who has an autoimmune disease as well, I have some advice. Don't try to wear your body out by taking on more than you can handle. It's not worth the weeks it takes to recover. Sometimes your body can't handle a lot and that's ok. You need to really listen to your body when it tells you it's to much or to rest. Fighting with it won't help and it will just make you feel worse. Also, no matter what the little voice in your head says, no one is judging you or mad that your sick, and in all honesty if they are then you don't need them in your life. I know it can be hard having to put things as side but it's better to listen to your body now than getting hurt later. I do wish you all the best, just remember to listen to your body. It really does help.
