Today, I was sitting in the break room when my boss came in and yelled at me about a mistake. Because I've worked in customer service for years, I instinctively responded with, "I'm terribly sorry to hear that, sir. I hope you'll still consider us in the future." FML

I hope your boss had a sense of humor and good laugh at this because I found it to be pretty funny.

Way to kill his edge, ??. Wish I'd done this year's ago. #7yearsOfHell in retail.

I've been in customer service for 2 years, at the same movie theater the whole time. I still struggle with not saying "enjoy your movie!" to the pizza guy.

Why not, "What can I do to make it right (provided it costs nothing and requires no effort on my part)?"

I work in customer service too, I tell people, "have a good day" all the time, haha

I, too, work retail but, usually close, so, when I get the rare open or mid shift, I still them "enjoy your night."

Unless you made a serious error, your boss shouldn't be yelling at you. He sounds like a douchenozzle.

Hahaha great response, dnt worry OP some habits are hard to break
