#46: Last I checked not all schools in the world endorsed Christianity. This is both a FHL and FYL, in my opinion, though I learn more so toward the former.
oh god. thats awful! i feel bad for the girl, i have an anxiety problem where if i'm not close to a door or an exit i start feeling really sick and usually have to leave wherever i am and i've always been nervous of that happening to me. to everyone who's saying the girl should have just left the class, i understand why she didn't. i'm incredibly shy and would never dream of running out of a class even if it means i would have to puke on the guy in front of you (mind you i'd probably turn and puke in the aisle) FYL.
#31 - are you saying the person who sat there, did nothing and got thrown up on deserved it? she wasn't trying to be "politically correct." the teacher was being grammatically correct, so u could say the teacher deserved it. to all the ppl who say she should've just run out of the room, she might not have known she was gonna puke that second. but really, how much further would she have gotten if the teacher hadn't said that? maybe to the door...
that teacher seriously was an asshole
I agree with #8. I feel sorry for the OP.
How is the teacher an asshole? "May I" is the correct way of saying it. Even if it was just a joke, how was the teacher supposed to know that the girl was about to be sick? The teacher was doing his/her job! People should be grammatically correct, it shows intelligence. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that what school is for?
In reply to #54: if you read it more carefully, it says she was in CHEMISTRY class, not english class, so who cares? So the chemistry teacher should stick to what they know, and let the grammar teachers do their job.

If I thought I was going to be sick in class, I wouldn't ask, I'd just run out of the room! I feel for you!
I hate it when teachers do that. Give the grammar lesson after the student has emptied out what needs to be emptied.
