Today, I was showing my 6-year-old son how easy and safe it is to ride a bike. I didn't notice a pebble, bust up my leg, and my son is now terrified of bicycles. FML

Today, I assembled my kid’s birthday bike without reading the instructions. I proudly presented it, only for him to sit on it and immediately realize the handlebars were on backwards. The training wheels were also uneven, so it leaned like a sinking ship. My kid said, “It’s OK Dad, it's not your fault,” which hurt more than if he’d laughed. FML

Not quite sure how a "pebble" caused this much damage.

This is why you must teach them when they're younger and fearless.

A pebble? Surely you mean a f*** off boulder or something?

This reminds me of a certain Spongebob episode..

How exactly did you break your leg because of a pebble

At least now he can come up to a girl and say: " hey, you know what ? I'm bitrochosophobic."

What? From a pebble? How big was this "pebble?"

Is your son named Calvin by any chance?

Thanks. You just reminded me why I was so terrified of bicycles. In fact I still can't ride one to this very day. The fact that my older brother once fell and got his face all cut up while on a bike and was in the hospital for several days didn't help either.
