Boo freakin' hoo. I don't always sit when there's a free seat. This is a prime example of why we need a "Don't give an F" option.
You should have asked her if she wanted to sit! You needed an icebreaker!
#109: So, so many things wrong with your condescending post. Let me point out a few, itemized: a) A person can take more than one type of bus home from school. b) By "school", they could just as easily have meant "college". c) If this WERE a school bus, I'm pretty sure it's not permitted (and possibly illegal) for students to ride standing up in the aisle. d) What kind of school bus picks people up along the way? Logical conclusion-drawing based on implicit and explicit contextual elements within a given piece of text shouldn't be this hard.
#120 - I can understand your points, but your post reeks of someone who's too old to remember his school days. Of course either one of us could be wrong, but nothing I said was illogical. To d) For example, on every school bus system in the 3 cities I've lived in, one bus will often cover 2 schools from the same district. Every year I rode the bus during junior high, the bus would then stop at the nearby high school to pick up high school freshmen before continuing along its route. Obviously every city is different, but it's not unprecedented for a bus to pick up different groups of students. To c) It's also not permitted to kneel on a seat to talk to people from the seats behind you (almost as dangerous as standing in the aisles), squeeze more than 3 students to a seat, sit in another student's lap, make out, etc. Does every single bus driver enforce those rules on rowdy teenagers? Of course not. Were you home-schooled? a and b) Of course it's possible, I guess in bigger colleges. As a college student, I find the post oddly written ("I was riding the bus home from school" sounds a lot more like a younger kid), but it's possible. Bottom line, the FML isn't written clearly enough, but assuming the OP rode public transportation requires the same jump in logic (arguably, more) that assuming a school bus does.
Don't assume. Maybe she had a surgical operation on her ass or maybe she was shy?
maybe your a nerd???????????

If nobody has realized from reading all these FMLs yet, Its the really stuck up popular girls that do this kinda stuff. Spending the rest of your life with her or a part of it would be a bitch.
