Today, I was informed I will have to take a 3 hour nightly course on how to become a teacher due to a scheduling error. I have 0 interest in becoming a teacher. FML

Umm...why do you "have" to take it?? If you don't need it...

Then don't take it. You don't have to take it if you aren't interested in being a teacher.

You need college credits and that's the only elective still available at night since the other classes filled up quickly? My only guess as to how you'd HAVE to take this class.

For anybody not understanding what I mean by this, I'm a high school student dual-enrolled in a course that appeared like a course on society and how education influences society. I signed up for it, only to realize that the first class wasn't until after the drop-by date. So that means that once I actually took the class and figured out it was basically "teaching 101", I had passed the drop-by date. I could have dropped it, but it would have left a big "W" on my transcript, which makes it look like I dropped out of college. Not a good thing when you are actually applying to colleges right now.

So what? Would you rather have a class that counts for nothing or explain a WITHDRAW to admissions counselors? It's a waste of your time, but also your fault for not finding out more about the class before joining.

Actually, having too many credits upon graduation will result in fees for "excess credits". That's right. You pay extra for learning too much.
