Never had a job before, but that doesn't sound right. Maybe you can take it up with HR? Good luck.

That doesn't sound legal. If you have sick days, you should be able to use them without repercussions. Turn your boss in to HR, maybe you can get your job back.

Depends on how long they've been working there. My mom is a manager at Walmart and you're only allowed however many months you've been there(up to six months) in call ins. Ex: if you've been there one month or less it's termination after one call in, 2 months is termination after 2 call ins, etc.
