Nope. He's two, pick him up and put him in a crib or something. You don't have to let him assault you and doing so just teaches him that that behavior is acceptable.
True you couldn't fight back, but you could have said something, couldn't you? You could have pushed him away gently or something or asked his mom to stop him--something.
the other comments are right. i babysit a two-year-old and sometimes he pushes me and laughs and I have to look at him and say "we don't push". he needs to know it's wrong so he doesn't start pushing other children in his daycare or growing up thinking it's ok. fighting back is definitely the wrong thing to do but that doesn't mean you have to take it. complain to a parent if they're there, and if they're not, you clearly aren't mature enough to take care of a toddler yourself. toddlers are sponges. every single moment with a toddler is a teachable moment.
