Today, I was at a mall. A woman stopped by me, said slowly and loudly, in Spanish "baño?" Knowing a bit of Spanish, I nodded and pointed the restrooms out for her. She then mutters about "dang Mexicans and their inability to speak English". I'm not even Latina. I'm Irish-American. FML
I agree, your life sucks 70 120

FHL. That was your opportunity to tell her how much of a racist **** she is in plain English.

DUDE! THAT WAS YOUR CHANCE TO CALL HER A PREJUDICE, RACIST, BITCH! I know how you feel. I am Irish and Native American, and Black and Phillipino and I'm always mistaken for being Hispanic. :/

Op, you're life is only ****** cause you missed out on a great chance to cuss the woman out.

Why did you not cuss her out? FYL indeed, you missed a wonderful chance.

Why did you answer her? When she asked in Spanish where the bathroom is, I would have said, "This is America, lady, speak English."

I agree with #3 completely. I've had that happen. It was an, "Excuse me, bitch, but I probably speak better English than you do" moment.

That sucks. Even though I'm blonde haired, pale skin, blue eyes and wear a claddagh, I still get stereotyped all the time as being Greek or Polish. # 613, It's not bad being Greek or Polish it's just that we like to be called by the nationality that we are. And the lady's a stupid racist ***** who should actually use her eyes for once.

Exactly... I'm almost fully Italian, and I have red hair. People always tell me about how I should "go back to your native Ireland to the pubs." WTF?
