Today, I tried to surprise my parents by coming home from college for Spring Break. I arrived to find a dark house, with all the doors bolted shut. After calling them, I found out that they have gone on a vacation to Hawaii for a week. I am now locked out of my own house, with no where to stay. FML

@ all of those wondering how he got on the internet : I'm only guessing that he either got into an hotel somewhere or found a friend or a neighbour to go to. A lot of phones have internet or wifi access. Come to think of it, an FML iPhone/iPod app needs to be created.

Why is everyone thinking it's so strange for him not to have a key? When I moved out my parents took my key. It makes sense since I'm not living there anymore. Why would I have a key to someone else's house? Plus I wouldn't want to surprise my parents after I moved out. Chances are they walked around naked all day and did it on everything whenever they felt like it. He could have a laptop. My parents are stupid and never put a password on their wifi connection. So even if I was stuck outside I could use the internet. Ignorance is abundant here.

Also, it's none of his business what they want to do with their time. He's grown and I would imagine his parents are too. So why would they tell him they decided to go on vacation?

@#31 : I'm not sure he's angry that they went on a vacation, he just thinks his life's f'ed because he's locked outside of his house and obviously has nowhere else to go but back to college. Also, even if they have a password on their wifi connection, chances are he has it if he comes to his parents' house on holidays. Then again, he doesn't have a key, so maybe he's using the neighbours' connection :P
