Today, I surprised my daughter by telling her that I'm going to treat the family to a trip to the Himalayas in a few months. She promptly threw a tantrum and listed her main reasons for not wanting us to go: "It's a freaking desert there," and, "I'll miss the new Spiderman movie." FML

That kid is both dumb and self centered.

i voted fyl because you daughter is an idiot who thinks the Himalayas are a desert, however while I would love to go there they might not be the first place I would think of to take most teenagers.

I'm sure she'll be stoked once you go

Technically she's right, a desert is a barren land devoid of water or a wide variety of organisms, whether it is hot or cold. She probably doesn't know that herself though, so FYL OP.

Seriously, wtf. If only I had the chance...

Leave her with a nanny and go have fun when I was little we were happy to go to the beach every once and a while

I would like to let everyone know a few things about Spiderman. #1. The Spiderman movies that came out with Tobey Maguire are not part of any of the spiderman comics. #2. The Amazing Spiderman, is actually the Spiderman that exists in the "Amazing" universe. So Mary Jane doesn't exist at all, Gwen is Peter Parker's love interest, his webs are from web shooters that he made himself, and the spider that bit him was not in fact part of a school field trip. #3. It is not a remake of the series, nor a reboot. It is its own universe, not relative to any other Spiderman universes. #4. "The Amazing Spiderman" movie is not spiderman number 4. #5. The "Amazing Spiderman" universe was the first one I believe in the Marvel Comics. #6. The reason that Spiderman is not in the Avengers, is because when Marvel did not have its own studio yet, they sold the movie making rights of Spiderman to Sony. After Marvel acclaimed Marvel Studios, Sony would not sell the Movie making rights of Spiderman back to Marvel. Sony, did not want to conjoin in the making of, "The Avengers." #7. The Green Goblin is actually not Harry's Father. This was made up in the Spiderman movie in the early 2000's. #8 I hope everyone here has learned something about Spiderman, and that it is infact, not part of the original Sony Spiderman movies. #9. Have a nice day, with your new spiderman Knowledge

you deserved her response. that's what ya get when you raise a brat
