Today, I spent ages at CVS waiting for a flu shot. The main cause of holdup was a disagreement between the pharmacist and the insurance company over 4 cents. FML

I don't see the problem? 4 cents is big money there.

the real FML here is America's ****** up health system.

Look at this from the insurance company's stand point. They are doing business. They do business to make a profit. 4 cents may not seem like a lot, but if the insurance company loses 4 cents on every shot, that is a lot of money. It is estimated that 57% of Americans will get a flu shot this year. That's 176.7 million Americans, multiple that by $.04 and and you are looking at $7,068,000 in lost revenue. I'd argue over that amount of money any day.

Well look at it this way, 4 cents can probably buy a week's worth of food for a bunch of homeless people in some third world country.

No, you pay for your healthcare in your taxes.

although that's also one of the major flaws in our country too, but.... no waiting for shots for me!

I once got billed for .25 cents less than the postage and paper put together.

You should've given him your 2 cents twice!

i believe the saying is "A penny saved is worthless"
