Today, I shaved my head because I heard that one of my good friends got cancer. I went to visit her in the hospital. She's not bald. FML

ppl with cancer don't loose their hair until chemotherapy idiot. and a lot of worse things could happen, YOU could be the one with cancer

to #6. the loss of hair doesn't not 'instantly happen'. it isn't a result of cancer. it's a side effect of treatment. as far as I am concerned the op was looking to score brownie points and look good. YDI for worrying about shaving your head before going to see your friend.

you lose your hair from the chemo dumbass

You're a good friend OP. You don't instantly lose your hair, it comes with lots of chemotherapy. So if her cancer is really bad she just might lose her hair eventually. If you're willing to cut off your hair without any thought because of a friend you are probably a really good person. Not a lot of people could part with their hair. :]

You completely deserved that. How stupid are you?

It really is the thought, OP. That's an amazing gesture. Her hair may fall out eventually with chemo. On the bright side, hair grows back.

iI was still a really nice gesture! Thumbs up to you, OP.

I went through cancer and you only lose your hair at chemotherapy, anyway it's the thought that counts
