How could you call it "making love" when you aren't really in love if you're just dating and have no intentions of getting married, when the point of dating is to find your future spouse. If you're truly in love, you'd be married, which is a symbol of love and a commitment to it. Engagement is just the bridge. Don't get me wrong, I had sex before I first got married, but it was regretful, because I didn't marry any of the guys I had sex with before I got married, because I wasn't in love.
