Today, I opened up about sexual abuse I endured as a child. They accused me of lying and called me a Bitch when I cried telling them. FML

I'm sorry the people you opened up to were complete shit. If you have insurance I would suggest finding a psychologist. Hoping you find better friends and have more positive dialogue in the future. <3

I have a family member and the same thing happened to him with his immediate family, like his mother, father etc. His own family supports and believes him though, like his wife, children etc. These are the type of people you should have in your life and they will make things at least a little easier. Cut that other person out, they are not worth having around if they're going to be disrespectful and unempathetic. Calling you terrible names for having emotions when discussing such a difficult time in your past is just plain awful. I suggest talking to someone too though. These events are difficult and it's good to have support, especially from professionals that can help you work through everything.
