Today, I missed a meeting for a show that I am performing in. I worked for months on my piece before the audition, and was ecstatic when I found out I was accepted. Yet, because this meeting slipped my mind, a final list of the acts has already been put together and I am not on it. FML

Part of performing in any event is being present for setup and scheduling. I find it strange that you were not contacted if you were on draft schedules made before the finalized one, but aside from that this is a full on YDI. You made a mistake, learn from it and start looking for another show to participate in.

Seems strange to me that something so crucial would just "slip your mind". If you really worked so hard on it I feel you should have at least thought about it more than enough to miss an important meeting like that! I'm sorry you missed your chance OP, might wanna invest in a planner though!

That sucks OP though at least now you know to set reminders etc so nothing else that's crucial "slips your mind". Good luck :)
