Then you definitely need to spend more time with her! If she's resorted to having fictional friends, she's probably lonely. Don't just be her BOYFRIEND who just likes to have sex, be the GOOD FRIEND who also listens to her when she needs someone around! I personally think it's partly your fault for not giving her enough attention. You should have asked to meet some of her friends.

maybe she clearly referred to them as characters from a show but you didn't listen well enough and thought they were her actual friends.

Anytime someone talks about characters on a TV show - especially one that's been canceled for five years - as if they're real people usually has issues.
