Today, I got my period. Last week, I fell out of a window and landed between my legs on a bush; I have massive swelling down there, and stitches over the ripped flesh. Now I'm bleeding out my period on top of the lingering wounds down there. It hurts even to pee, let alone menstruate. FML

I'm talking about using tampons for her menstruation since the menstrual blood is bleeding all over wounds which apparently, makes it hurt more, geddit?!

Blunt force from anything such as a tampon may open the stitches so she may be better just getting on pain killers then risking them coming undone.

Let the doctor know you began your period & it's exacerbating the injury. A topical lidocaine might be a good idea, plus some meds for pain & swelling. Also, sitz baths might help. I'd also be concerned about possible infection. Don't wait to get help. Good luck.

They may also give you something to stop your period so you can delay it until your wounds are healed (some sort of birth control).

You do realize that birth control does not work right away like that right? Even if she started the pill or the implant (ouch in this scenario) or whatever it takes about one cycle on the pill for it to make your period "disappear." I assume you would be a girl from your username but knowing FML that isn't always true, but if you are a girl please for the love of God read and do research on birth control before posting such asinine comments.

Actually, you fail. There are things that they can give you to stop your period in a matter of hours. I know for certain. Also, I hope they give your girlfriend the kind if birth control that doesn't work right away. How's that for asinine. Whoa! I can uze smart peeple werds two.

Angelofmusic you are very wrong depo takes affect in less than 24 hours and stopped my cycle in its tracks OP get on depo so next time something like this happens you won't have a period... And yes seek medical advice you don't want to mess around with vajayjay infections and if it spreads could make you infertile!!
