I'm confused why you're more concerned with the fact that your boyfriend can't continue the trip due to a car accident than the actual fact that he was in a car accident. FHL, and hopefully the injuries weren't detrimental. Stay strong, OP. Long distance relationships are hard but it'll pay off in the end.
Off topic, but what does OP stand for?
what type of gas guzzling vehicle does he drive? If it's 200mi round trip, one way is obviously 100, which should only be about an hour and 40 minutes travel time. the average vehicle gets about 28mpg highway, so assuming gas prices are 2.50 and the average tank holds 20 gallons he would be able to get there and back on one tank, which is around 50 dollars. are there 250 dollars worth of tolls?
He may drive a truck or SUV. My current and previous SUVs both got around 18-20 mpg. But I could go almost 400 miles on a tank, so that still wouldn't account for the extra 200 bucks if you add in snacks along the way. Heck I used to drive from PA to TX and back for $300, and that was when gas was in the $3 range on the east coast!
Yeah it's almost like she has to pay him to hang out with her. this just doesn't make sense.
hmmmm......
