I had this happen to me before. I had a medical procedure and had to wear a pad for weeks after it. diaper rash cream is your friend. I recomend targets up and up brand.

That's why I switched to a diva cup. So much better then a tampon or pad.

If I wear one longer than an hour or so, it gets red and sensitive down there. Main reason I switched to tampons, and am now looking at cups.

I see that you've gotten responses alerting you to the possibility of allergic response to the paper products. Change your brand until you find one that doesn't cause this reaction. There are also some brands of TP that cause the same reaction. Be kind to yourself: pain like that is not "normal."
