Today, I found out that my extended family is attributing my financial struggles and failed marriage to an abuser to the fact that I didn't go to college. I'm being used as a cautionary tale to motivate my cousins in school. FML

Become more succesful then any of them and watch them beg you for money.

Are you still being abused or still stick financially reliant on them? If so, you should really considered s woman's shelter. As for your family- they are idiots. Financial mistakes that take decades to recover from exist, for one. Two, by saying that your lack of college education is why you were abused is going to make any attack those girls experience worse because their family lied to them and make them easier targets.

OP here. I'm not still with my abuser- the financial troubles happened because I left. Only one income now, same number of bills, and until divorce papers are filed my credit card company won't let me remove him from my account, so he's maxed out everything in retaliation. I've been gone for 3 months now and still getting steady. Thank you for your concern- I genuinely appreciate that. Everybody's trying to tell me I did wrong by leaving, but I think in doing this, I've shown my daughter that you don't have to stay with someone who mistreats you, and that's the rightest thing to me.
